Despite earning a black-belt in Karate at the age of 12, little did Veda know back then how much the martial art would go onto help her develop her strength to eventually play cricket. The batswoman made her ODI debut in 2011, impressing everyone with her knock of 51 against England that day. Her T20I debut came a few days earlier against Australia in the same series. Six years later, she was a part of the Indian team which lost to England in the final of the 2017 World Cup. Veda's highlight from the tournament was her fiery 70 off 45 balls against New Zealand - a knock which paved way for her side reaching the semi-finals. Veda also made her presence felt at the WBBL, making her debut in BBL|03 with the Hobart Hurricanes.
In February 2018, she became the youngest ever Indian woman to reach 1,000 runs in WODIs.
