Benjamin Cutting
Big hitting allrounder Ben Cutting signed for two seasons with the Sydney Thunder ahead of BBL|10. Cutting joins the Thunder from the Brisbane Heat, where he spent the first nine seasons of the BBL. The right-arm quick became that club’s highest wicket taker with 63 scalps and its second highest run-scorer hitting 1,199 runs at the formidable strike rate of 145.5. A vastly experienced T20 player, Cutting has played in the Indian, Canadian, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Caribbean T20 leagues. He has represented Australia in four One-Day Internationals and seven T20 Internationals.
Standing 192cm, Cutting led the Bupa Sheffield Shield wicket-takers list in 2009-10 with 43 wickets at 23.91, making his first Australia squad later that year.
