Darren Bravo
Darren Bravo comes from a strong cricketing background – Dwayne Bravo is his half-brother and Brian Lara his mother’s cousin. The batsman is renowned for his poise at the crease and although relatively inexperienced, has already experienced plenty of success. Playing in his maiden ODI against India in mid-2009 and batting at number six, Bravo hit his first two balls to the boundary in an entertaining knock of 19. His T20 debut followed in 2010, before a maiden Test appearance in November of the same tear. Bravo entered the Test series against Sri Lanka full of confidence after another impressive first-class season. He looked an accomplished batsman in his first series, hitting three polished half-centuries on his way to an average of 68.66. Bravo now has eight Test and three ODI hundreds.
He is the younger half-brother of Dwayne Bravo, and he and Brian Lara are first cousins once removed.
