Sarfaraz Ahmed
Wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfraz Ahmed first came to the attention of cricket fans when he was named captain of the Pakistan team which won the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2006. His one-day international debut came one year later against India in late 2007 and the wicketkeeper has moved in and out of the ODI team since. Ahmed was called into the side for October’s one-day series against Australia and acquitted himself well, scoring a career-best 65 in Dubai. His return to limited overs cricket followed a huge year on the Test area, which saw Sarfraz consolidated his place in Pakistan’s team. Since being recalled to the side in January 2014, Sarfraz has scored three centuries and four fifties. This will be his first ICC Cricket World Cup.
He captained Pakistan to an ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup championship.
