Timothy David
Big-hitting allrounder Tim David from Claremont-Nedlands burst onto the WA cricket scene during the 2016-17 season, top scoring with 137 against South Australia in the Futures League. David’s consistent performances saw him offered a spot on the WACA Academy the following season. David more than held his own against a world-class bowling attack when he scored 37 and 55 not out against English touring sides. He belted two sixes to help the Scorchers achieve their highest ever T20 chase at the WACA on debut in 2018. David earned a State rookie contract for the 2018-19 season but a foot injury halted his progress. David made his T20 international debut for Singapore in 2019 and went on to star for his country of birth as they fell just short of qualifying for the T20 World Cup. After returning to Perth, David returned to Scorchers colours and showed his prodigious power hitting in eight matches of BBL09. He was lured over to the Hobart Hurricanes to boost their middle order ahead of BBL|10.
