OUT! Caught. Yasir Shah to Abu Jayed. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, top edge in the air uncontrolled to short third man, by Shafiq. Filthy swipe, it balloons straight up and Shafiq has a safe pair of hands. Pakistan complete a very impressive victory. A clinical Pakistan performance has resulted in an innings and 44 run victory over Bangladesh in Rawalpindi. Their bowlers got things rolling on the opening day, maintaining consistency to keep pressure on the touring batsmen despite fairly placid conditions. Shaheen Afridi bagged four wickets and then it was all about Shan Masood and Babar Azam. A pair of classy centuries gave the hosts a massive first innings lead and even an impressive effort from the Tigers on Sunday wasn't enough to bring them back into contention. Naseem Shah provided the moment of the match with a sublime hat-trick, delivering reverse swing at high pace in front of a jubilant crowd. Yasir Shah put the cherry on top of the cake with four wickets of his own, completing the win on the morning of Day Four. There is a long break now before the Second Test in April, so attention will turn to the PSL for Pakistan while Bangladesh will be heading back home to play Zimbabwe.

OUT! L.B.W. Yasir Shah to Liton Das. Leg spinner half volley, to leg on the front foot sweeping, hit pad to. That looks very close, too full to sweep and the ball skids underneath Liton's bat. As soon as the umpire says not out Pakistan want to review it. Ball tracking shows why they were so excited, it's stone dead and Liton has to go. Yasir enjoyed that one, he was one step ahead of the batsman and got his man. Just one wicket left now.

SIX! Yasir Shah to Liton Das. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot slog sweeping, well timed in the air under control over deep mid wicket for 6 runs. W
OUT! Run Out. Shaheen Afridi to Abu Jayed. In-swinging length ball, down leg side on the back foot working, to mid on, direct hit by Abbas. Oh dear, village cricket from Abu Jayed. He wanders from the crease and turns his back on the ball, finding himself a couple of inches short as the throw from Abbas flattens middle stump. I have no idea what he was thinking there, absent minded stuff from the Bangladesh bowler to end the innings. Azhar Ali's decision to bowl first this morning has been fully vindicated as Pakistan have bowled Bangladesh out for just 233. Mohammad Mithun made a battling fifty for the tourists but too many others got starts and then gave their wickets away in a soft fashion. Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers, picking up 53-4 in a skilful display.

W
OUT! Caught. Naseem Shah to Mohammad Mithun. Seaming in back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot defending, Gloved to wicketkeeper, by Rizwan. Prolonged appeal, Pakistan are convinced they have their man. The umpire isn't too sure and eventually Azhar asks for a review. Naseem got it to jag back prodigiously from the surface to cut Mithun in half and replays show it lightly brushed the glove on the way through. Rizwan scooped it up just above the turf and the hosts can celebrate. Three correct reviews now made by Azhar today.

Runs : 0 Bowler: Shaheen Afridi Wickets : 1

W
OUT! Bowled. Shaheen Afridi to Rubel Hossain. In-swinging length ball, middle stump on the front foot driving, missed to. Cleaned him up, that was far too good for Rubel who was attempting a rather ambitious booming drive down the ground. Lovely hooping inswing with the second new ball and it soars straight through the gate to make a mess of the stumps.

Runs : 0 Bowler: Haris Sohail Wickets : 1

W
OUT! Caught. Haris Sohail to Taijul Islam. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to mid off, by Shah. A rush of blood from Taijul, there was absolutely no need for a shot like that with the light closing in. Looking to slam the ball over the top, it dips on him and balloons high into the air. Yasir keeps his eye on it all the way, out of the sunlight and into the shadows as Bangladesh lose their seventh wicket.

Runs : 0 Bowler: Haris Sohail Wickets : 1

W
OUT! L.B.W. Haris Sohail to Liton Das. Stock length ball, to leg on the front foot sweeping, hit pad to. What a riposte by the bowler, Liton is on his way. This has come out of nowhere, the Bangladesh keeper was looking in complete command. He attempted to sweep but the ball was too full and it skidded underneath the blade. Another superb review by Azhar Ali, ball tracking shows it was smashing middle stump. Haris makes immediate amends for his drop in the last over.

W
OUT! Caught. Shaheen Afridi to Mahmudullah. Half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge to second slip, by Shafiq. Sensational catch, Shafiq soars to his right and plucks it from the air before getting mobbed by his teammates. Magic moment for Pakistan. Mahmudullah won't want to see a replay of the shot, sucked into a very wide delivery to follow up the high bouncer previous ball. Shaheen gets his third wicket of the day and has his sights on more.
In over# 34
Runs : 0 Bowler: Mohammad Abbas Wickets : 1
33.6
W
OUT! Caught. Mohammad Abbas to Nazmul Hossain Shanto. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, top edge to wicketkeeper, by Rizwan. Gone, big moment early in the afternoon session. Abbas is so relentless with his line and length so Shanto was looking to force a scoring option when it wasn't really there for it. Rizwan gleefully pouches the edge and all of a sudden Bangladesh are in real trouble again. Shanto showed promise but couldn't make it count with a match-defining knock.
In over# 22

W
OUT! Caught. Shaheen Afridi to Mominul Haque. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Rizwan. Got him, that's what Pakistan have been striving for and it's Shaheen who provides it. A little bit of nibble off the deck is enough to kiss the outside edge as Mominul wafts well away from his body. The Bangladesh skipper will be gutted with that, he did all the hard work and now has thrown it away.

Runs : 0 Bowler: Shaheen Afridi Wickets : 1
W
OUT! Caught. Shaheen Afridi to Saif Hassan. Seaming away half volley, outside off stump no foot movement pushing, outside edge to second slip, by Shafiq. Dream start for Pakistan, Shaheen raises both arms to the sky triumphantly. The debutant has to trudge off without a run to his name, paying the price for a tentative poke when he should've been leaving it well alone. His feet went nowhere and Asad Shafiq pouched the sharp chance comfortably at waist height.
In over# 123
Runs : 0 Bowler: Rubel Hossain Wickets : 1
122.5
W
OUT! Run Out. Rubel Hossain to Naseem Shah. Short, outside off stump on the back foot Fended, Spliced to gully, direct hit by Hassan. Sharp thinking by the fielder and Naseem's foot is half an inch above the turf. Saif has a big smile on his face, now he can think about his batting. Pakistan have been bowled out for 445. They will have been hoping for more than that when they arrived at the ground this morning but Bangladesh have been disciplined and skilful to limit the lead to 212 runs. It's still a mighty deficit so the tourists will have to bat much better than they did in the first innings. Haris Sohail made an attractive 75, meanwhile Abu Jayed and Rubel Hossain shared six wickets between them.
In over# 122
Runs : 0 Bowler: Taijul Islam Wickets : 1
121.3
W
OUT! Caught. Taijul Islam to Haris Sohail. Stock length ball, down leg side down the track Slog, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket, by Iqbal. He's picked out the man in the deep, Haris has to go. Looking to clear the fence for his third six of the day, the ball dipped on him and skewed off the inner half of the blade. Tamim barely had to budge and pouched it chest high with the fingers pointing up. The end is in sight for Bangladesh's fielders.
In over# 113
Runs : 0 Bowler: Rubel Hossain Wickets : 1
112.5
W
OUT! L.B.W. Rubel Hossain to Shaheen Afridi. Length ball, outside off stump no foot movement defending, hit pad to. Umpire Gaffaney has been reluctant to raise the finger today however this time it goes up and Rubel celebrates. Shaheen asks for a review, he might as well with two left in the bank for Pakistan. The tall left-hander was stuck on the crease with his feet going nowhere and that's what ends up costing him. Ball tracking shows umpire's call on impact and height.
In over# 111

110.2
W
OUT! L.B.W. Rubel Hossain to Yasir Shah. Reverse Swing-In half volley, off stump on the front foot working, hit pad to. Full and fast, tailing back into the right-hander and Yasir plays all around it. The umpire shakes his head but Bangladesh straight away want to review the decision. From the replays you can see why, it would've smashed into leg stump so they will have their man. Rubel gets his second of the day, Haris is running out of partners.
In over# 103
Runs : 0 Bowler: Rubel Hossain Wickets : 1
102.1
W
OUT! Caught. Rubel Hossain to Mohammad Rizwan. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, top edge in the air uncontrolled to fine leg, by Mahmudullah. Rubel is into the action and straight into the wickets, Bangladesh's superb morning continues. Rizwan was looking to be aggressive straight away against the new bowler instead of having a look first. It wasn't short enough for the shot and he got in a strange cramped position. Poor decision from Pakistan's keeper, joy for the tourists.
In over# 96
Runs : 0 Bowler: Ebadat Hossain Wickets : 1
95.1
W
OUT! Caught. Ebadat Hossain to Asad Shafiq. Seaming in length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, inside edge to wicketkeeper, by Das. Got him, the tourists are expertly making use of the movement on offer this morning. Ebadat endured a difficult day yesterday but he has been on the money so far to make amends today. He deserves this moment of success. Shafiq was taken by surprise as the ball jagged back prodigiously to kiss the edge through to the keeper.

88.1
W
OUT! Caught. Abu Jayed to Babar Azam. Seaming away back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot defending, outside edge to first slip, by Ali. What a start by Abu Jayed, the big wicket with his first ball of the day. A little bit of nibble from the surface and the edge sails at a comfortable height. Babar Azam looks distraught, he was caught in two minds and ended up awkwardly hanging his bat out with a tentative prod. Disappointment for the crowd who were hoping to see him reach a double century today.
In over# 54
Runs : 0 Bowler: Taijul Islam Wickets : 1
53.3
W
OUT! Bowled. Taijul Islam to Shan Masood. Stock ball half volley, outside off stump on the front foot pushing, missed to. Got him, finally some success for Bangladesh late in the session. It seems to be a lapse of concentration from Masood, he can barely believe what has happened and has to slowly drag himself from the field. Credit to Taijul for plugging away, he's kept things reasonably tight and now gets one to dip and turn to beat the inside edge and crash into middle stump.
In over# 23
Runs : 0 Bowler: Abu Jayed Wickets : 1
22.2
W
OUT! Caught. Abu Jayed to Azhar Ali. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, outside edge to first slip, by Shanto. Wow, where has that come from? Bangladesh have looked very flat and now they have a wicket completely against the run of play. Only one slip in place and Azhar finds him, looking to carve the ball on the up well away from his body only to slash it at a comfortable height to Shanto. The Pakistan skipper will be furious with himself. Abu Jayed has been the best bowler by far today and now he has two wickets to his name.

W
OUT! Caught. Abu Jayed to Abid Ali. Seaming away back of a length, outside off stump no foot movement cutting, top edge to wicketkeeper, by Das. That's exactly what the tourists needed, a big early scalp to boost their spirits. It's not the greatest delivery Abu Jayed will ever bowl but he doesn't care because it finds the edge. Abid Ali had a flat-footed waft, really loose from the opening batsman who was so prolific against Sri Lanka. Now Bangladesh will be looking to expose the Pakistan middle order against the new ball.
In over# 63

W
OUT!

OUT! L.B.W. Mohammad Abbas to Rubel Hossain. Reverse Swing-In length ball, outside off stump on the back foot working, hit pad to. Abbas strikes, Rubel's resistance is ended. The fast bowler was beginning to frustrate Pakistan but now Abbas has found a way through. It seemed as though he was beaten by the length, playing back when coming forward would have been the better option. Some hoop back into the right-hander and it's a simple one for the umpire. Two more needed now for Pakistan. Drinks are on the field and they will taste sweet for the hosts. They are on the verge of a massive victory. Liton Das might have to try and cut loose with not much batting left to come.

W
OUT! L.B.W. Shaheen Afridi to Mominul Haque. Reverse Swing-In half volley, off stump on the front foot working, hit pad to. What a response from Shaheen, swapping the direction of the swing to pin the Bangladesh skipper plumb in front. Mominul takes a punt on a review because he was very close to getting a bit of bat on it but it can't save him with the pictures inconclusive. Once again in this Test match a wicket falls very early in the day, that has been a common theme. Pakistan take a big step towards victory.

OUT! Bowled. Yasir Shah to Mohammad Mithun. Googly back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pulling, missed to. A complete brain-fade from Mithun, wildly heaving across the line only to look down and see his middle stump pegged back. Absolutely no need for that at this time of the day, terrible batting. Mominul looks on with disgust from the non-striker's end, Bangladesh are collapsing in a heap at the end of Day Three. Yasir has his tail up, Pakistan cock-a-hoop.

He's done it, unbelievable scenes in Rawalpindi. Naseem charges off and the rest of the team can't catch him, unbridled joy for the hosts. Mahmudullah inexplicably attempted a big drive and the edge was snaffled by a jubilant cordon. Terrible shot in the circumstances. What a moment for the young fast bowler, he will never forget this evening. Bangladesh in turmoil now.

OUT! L.B.W. Naseem Shah to Taijul Islam. Reverse Swing-In half volley, off stump on the front foot working, hit pad to. Another one, Naseem doesn't even turn around to see the finger go up because he knows it is stone dead. Hooping reverse swing tails in late and Taijul is nowhere near it. The nightwatchman is gone first ball and all of a sudden Pakistan have a spring in their step again. Naseem on a hat-trick.

OUT! L.B.W. Naseem Shah to Nazmul Hossain Shanto. Reverse Swing-In length ball, outside off stump on the front foot working, hit pad to. Prolonged appeal, that looked pretty adjacent but the umpire doesn't agree. Azhar doesn't take much convincing to send this upstairs. Naseem is generating good pace and got this to skid through off the deck to catch Shanto by surprise. Ball tracking has it hitting inline and wacking leg stump flush, great review by the hosts. Massive strike late in the day.

OUT! L.B.W. Yasir Shah to Tamim Iqbal. Leg spinner length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. You could sense this wicket was coming, Tamim never looked confident with Yasir pitching it in the rough outside his off stump from around the wicket. He accepts the decision and trudges off, fully aware that the ball was going on to hit leg stump. He ended up playing for too much turn and the ball beat his outside edge to cannon into the back pad. Big wicket for the hosts.

OUT! Bowled. Naseem Shah to Saif Hassan. Seaming in length ball, outside off stump on the back foot defending, inside edge to. There's the breakthrough, Naseem Shah gets it right after a difficult start to his spell. Some variable bounce and Saif is leaden-footed on the crease, getting a thin nick back onto the sticks. Sheer pace from the young quick has extracted something different from the surface. Pakistan needed that.
