FOUR! Amir Hamza to John Campbell. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, well timed in the air under control past deep extra cover for 4 runs. West Indies have completed a nine wicket victory over Afghanistan in Lucknow, finishing the job this morning in just over an hour of play. Jason Holder ensured the tail was mopped up quickly, snaring three quick wickets with some accurate fast bowling, before the batsmen cruised to the small target with alacrity. The men from the Caribbean took control of the match through Rahkeem Cornwall's superb seven wicket haul on the opening day and they never let the hosts back into the contest from there. Shamarh Brooks gave a masterful demonstration of how to bat long in difficult conditions yesterday, compiling his maiden Test century in style. Cornwall went on to finish with ten wickets in the match, reward for his consistency and guile. Afghanistan are still young in terms of Test experience and they will learn plenty from this defeat.

OUT! Caught. Amir Hamza to Kraigg Brathwaite. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, Gloved to wicketkeeper, by Zazai. A consolation wicket for Afghanistan to boost their spirits. Brathwaite was looking to smother this delivery but prodigious turn and bounce made that virtually impossible. The ball kissed the glove before being pouched behind the stumps, further evidence that a few more runs would've been difficult for West Indies to chase.

OUT! Caught. Rahkeem Cornwall to Yamin Ahmadzai. Off break half volley, outside off stump down the track driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Warrican. Seven for Cornwall! It's all over. Ahmadzai didn't seem to have much trust in Zahir Khan, so attempted a lusty blow to add a few more runs. He jumps out to the pitch, but doesn't get the desired connection. Off the toe end, and it nestles into the hands of long off.A below par score from Afghanistan. They started very well, being 84-1 at one stage, but then a huge collapse left them at 111-7. There was a slight recovery, but not a big enough one to dig them out of trouble. There were eyebrows raised when Holder decided to bowl first, but it looks to have paid off. How will the Windies reply with the bat? The hosts need some wickets tonight to get back into it.

OUT! Caught. Jason Holder to Amir Hamza. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Dowrich. That's a corker of a delivery from Holder. A hint of movement after pitching, Hamza hangs the bat out in hope, and it brushes the outside edge on the way through to the keeper. West Indies are just one wicket away from polishing things up.

OUT! L.B.W. Rahkeem Cornwall to Afsar Zazai. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the back foot shoulders arms, hit pad to. Cornwall is brought back, and he strikes again to give West Indies a wicket as they head in for the tea break. A brain fade from Zazai. He thinks this ball is turning way down the legside, lifts up the arms, and lets it through. That was the wrong decision. The ball skids through to hit the front pad, and it looked as though it was going on to smash into the top of leg stump. The session belongs to the away side. Five wickets taken and 75 runs added in those two hours. Rahkeem Cornwall has torn through the Afghan batting line up, and currently has six-for. If it wasn't for the eighth wicket stand between Zazai and Hamza, the hosts may already be bowling. What will the evening session bring us? Can Afghanistan sneak up to 200? How will the Windies respond with the bat?

OUT! Caught. Jason Holder to Rashid Khan. Seaming away length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to first slip, by Cornwall. Seven down. Holder joins the party now. He's deserved a wicket. Beat the bat and found the edge numerous times in this spell. It's a beautiful delivery. Rashid Khan has to play, gets a healthy edge, and it carries through to first slip. Cornwall dropped a tough one earlier, but makes no mistake here.

OUT! Caught. Rahkeem Cornwall to Asghar Afghan. Off break back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot cutting, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Hope. Five for Cornwall. It feels like he is going to get one every over here. Not his best delivery, but he won't mind one bit. Short, a bit of width, and Asghar goes slashing hard at the ball. A thin nick, and Dowrich snaps it up behind nicely. Afghanistan are crumbling! 14 runs for the last five wickets.

OUT! Caught. Rahkeem Cornwall to Nasir Jamal. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to first slip, by Hope. Cornwall does it again! Although there is spin out there, it's the outside edge that repeatedly getting hit by the right handed batsmen. The natural variation from the pitch is working wonders for the big off spinner. Nasir plays for the turn, but it skids on to take the outer half. A smart take at first slip again by Shai Hope.

OUT! Caught. Rahkeem Cornwall to Rahmat Shah. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the back foot defending, inside edge to leg slip, by Holder. Cornwall strikes again! West Indies are rattling through this Afghanistan line up now. Sharp spin back into the right hander, and the ball flies off the inside edge to leg slip. Good reactions from Holder in there. He keeps low and pouches the ball nicely.

OUT! Caught. Rahkeem Cornwall to Ihsanullah. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to first slip, by Hope. West Indies will go into lunch with a third! It's the one that goes straight on that does the business for Cornwall. Ihsanullah was well forward to defend, and played inside the line. Expecting turn, it didn't come, and the ball flicked the outside edge before being gobbled up by slip.A good end to the session for the visitors has evened things up. Afghanistan got off to a super start, after Jason Holder made the strange decision of bowling first. It looked very flat against the seamers, but there has definitely been some assistance for the spinners, even on this first day. A big afternoon coming up for both sides. The hosts will want to keep things ticking along, and the Windies will be confident of making more inroads.

OUT! Caught. Jomel Warrican to Javed Ahmadi. Stock ball half volley, outside off stump on the front foot driving, mis-timed in the air uncontrolled to long off, by Brooks. That is a very questionable stroke in the first session of a Test Match. Long off in place, and Ahmadi tries to clear that man for a maximum. Very risky, and it didn't pay off. Came off the bottom end of the bat, and Brooks took a simple grab inside the rope. A gift for the Windies!

OUT! Caught. Rahkeem Cornwall to Ibrahim Zadran. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot sweeping, bat-pad to leg slip, by Holder. Cornwall gets the first of the morning! He has been threatening since he has come on. Ibrahim is down to sweep, it rips back, and pops up to Holder at leg slilp. A brilliant catch from the skipper, diving to his left and taking it one handed. The Afghan opener isn't too happy with the decision, though. Did he get an inside edge on it? Tough to tell.

OUT! L.B.W. Amir Hamza to Kemar Roach. Stock length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Five wicket haul for Hamza on debut! Roach tries to defend, but his front pad gets in the way of the bat coming down. It meant that he was beaten on the inside edge, and was struck in front of leg. Enough turn on this one for it to be hitting the stumps, so up goes the finger.West Indies end up with a very crucial first innings lead of 90. Sharmarh Brooks stood out with a cracking century, but there were good contributions from Campbell and Dowrich, too. Afghanistan will need to bat better second time round. If they can set a target of over 150, then they are definitely in the game. Find out how they respond after a tea break.

OUT! Bowled. Amir Hamza to Sharmarh Brooks. Stock length ball, off stump on the front foot Slog, missed to. Brooks is gone! Clearly looking to up the tempo as he is batting with the tail, and he gets bowled through the gate. Attempted an ugly hoick across the line, and it skidded through to crash into the stumps. That ends a great innings.

OUT! L.B.W. Rashid Khan to Rahkeem Cornwall. Googly length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, bat-pad to. A big wrong'un back into Cornwall, who is late in defending. Massive shout, and up goes the finger! Cornwall isn't happy with that decision at all, and rightly so. A noticable deflection off the inside edge before it strikes the pad. No DRS, so the decision stands.

OUT! Stumped. Amir Hamza to Jason Holder. Stock length ball, middle stump on the front foot flick, missed to wicketkeeper, by Zazai. That's a beauty from Hamza. Not sure what Holder is doing, though. He looked to turn it against the spin into the legside, but it ragged past the outside edge. Once he missed the ball, Holder lost his balance, and slid out the crease. Excellent work from Zazai behind the stumps. Cleanly collected, and he whipped off the bails in no time. The foot was in the air when they were dislodged, so Afghanistan have their seventh.

OUT! L.B.W. Zahir Khan to Shane Dowrich. Left-Arm Leg Spin length ball, middle stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. That's stone dead. OUT! Caught. Zahir Khan to Roston Chase. Left-Arm Leg Spin length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, inside edge to short leg, by Zadran. A fifth for Afghanistan! It's all happening in this morning session. Chase prods forward, defends down the line, but the ball rips back to take the inside edge. The short leg fielder was ready to pounce on the chance, and fortunately, he didn't have to move his hands. A little juggle, but safely caught by Ibrahim.

OUT! L.B.W. Rashid Khan to Shimron Hetmyer. Leg spinner length ball, off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Not sure the umpire has made the correct call here. Rashid spears down a leg spinner, and beats Hetmyer on the inside edge. The ball hits the front pad, but the replays show there was too much turn and bounce for that to be hitting the wickets. A slice of luck for the hosts. Hetymer isn't happy.

OUT! Caught. Amir Hamza to John Campbell. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot sweeping, Gloved to leg slip, by Janat. Outstanding grab from Ihsanullah! Campbell attempts a softer sweep, looking to nudge it away very fine using the pace. Ihsanullah spots this at first slip, and sets off round the back of the keeper to cut it off. The ball spoons up off the glove of Campbell, and that gives the opportunity of the catch. A big leap to the right, and it sticks in the hand. Superb stuff.

OUT! L.B.W. Amir Hamza to Kraigg Brathwaite. Stock length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, hit pad to. Brathwaite plays down the wrong line, and he gets trapped in front. Not as much spin as he thought, and the Windies opener got beaten on the inside edge. The ball probably would've gone on to hit leg stump, so a good decision from the umpire. A maiden Test wicket for Hamza. Afghanistan have their first.

OUT! Caught. Jason Holder to Afsar Zazai. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot pushing, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Dowrich. Another for Holder, the captain has led by example this morning to wrap up the Afghanistan innings. Regulation edge and Dowrich gobbles it up, thirty minutes of play is all that the tourists needed to take the last three wickets. So West Indies will require just 31 runs to seal the Test Match. Another hundred runs would have made things very tricky, but you would imagine they will have no issues getting that target. Afghanistan will be really disappointed.

OUT! Bowled. Jason Holder to Yamin Ahmadzai. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, missed to. Off stump is smashed out of the ground, that's a great sight for any bowler and Holder casually raises a finger to the air in celebration. OUT! Caught. Jason Holder to Rashid Khan. Back of a length, outside off stump on the back foot defending, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Dowrich. Smart catch by the keeper and it's high fives all round.

OUT! Caught. Roston Chase to Javed Ahmadi. Off break length ball, middle stump on the front foot defending, outside edge to first slip, by Cornwall. Got him! Chase has a third in quick succession, and that will be the last action of the day. This round the wicket angle is working wonders. Ahmadi plays this defence with hard hands, the edge is drawn, and Cornwall makes no mistake at first slip.Just like yesterday, today belongs to the West Indies. They were able to build up a first innings lead of 90 thanks to Sharmarh Brooks' century, then the visitors got to work with the ball. Rakheem Cornwall carried on from where he left off in the first innings, and has got ten wickets in the match. Roston Chase also chipped in with three wickets of his own. This game is only going one way now. Afghanistan only have three wickets remaining, and the lead is just 19. If the Windies bowl well tomorrow morning, it could be over quickly. Hamza plays a loose shot away from the body, the edge is found, and it is snapped up at first slip by Cornwall. Such a nonchalant grab by the big man. He hangs out he right hand, and it sticks in the middle of the palm. Things are looking very bleak for the hosts.

OUT! Bowled. Roston Chase to Nasir Jamal. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, missed to. The change to Chase has paid off. Nasir just plays down the wrong line here. Expected the ball to spin, it didn't, and it just went straight through past the outside edge to clip the top of off. Lovely bowling.

OUT! Caught. Rahkeem Cornwall to Asghar Afghan. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot working, bat-pad to short leg, by Brooks. The hosts are falling apart. Asghar is gone first ball, Cornwall has 10 in the match, and this could be over very quickly. Afghan looks to clip it into the legside, but gets a thin inside edge onto his pad. The ball balloons up, and it is the simplest of catches for short leg this time.

OUT! Caught. Rahkeem Cornwall to Rahmat Shah. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot defending, bat-pad to short leg, by Brooks. Afghanistan are crumbling. Three quick wickets, and suddenly they are in a lot of trouble. Another failure for Rahmat Shah, who is out in a similar way as he was in the first innings. Bat and pad together, a couple of noises, and it loops up to short leg for the catch. Great reaction from Brooks in close, and he snaps it up cleanly.

OUT! Run Out. Rahkeem Cornwall to Ihsanullah. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot Steer, to gully, fielded by Hope, by Dowrich. Oh dear. It's all going wrong for Afghanistan now. Calamitous mix up, and Ihsanullah is left stranded in the middle of the pitch. Both batsmen were guilty of ball watching, and neither really made a decisive call. Just poked into the offside, Shai Hope ran round from slip to gather, and chucked it back to Dowrich to complete a simple run out.

OUT! L.B.W. Rahkeem Cornwall to Ibrahim Zadran. Off break length ball, outside off stump on the front foot padded, padded to. What was Ibrahim thinking here? He lifts the arms up, sticks the pad out and just lets it hit him. The ball ripped back in to strike him on the knee, and up goes the finger from the umpire. A little doubt to whether it might be bouncing over or turning too much, but it's a fair enough decision from the official. Cornwall is back in the wickets.

OUT!
